Hiring an Assistant Refurbishment Engineer
People Port Corp. was founded in 2017 in Yokohama with the mission of creating employment opportunities for refugees living in Japan. We operate a computer refurbishment business that restores used PCs and brings them back to life as refurbished devices called ZERO PC.
In Japan, millions of computers are used and discarded every year. At the same time, landfill space is decreasing, and producing new computers creates significant environmental impact, including CO₂ emissions.
By refurbishing used computers and reselling them as ZERO PCs, we aim to reduce electronic waste while contributing to solutions for climate change and resource sustainability.
Every year in Japan, large numbers of computers are discarded even though many can still be reused.
By refurbishing these computers and giving them a second life, ZERO PC contributes to:
Reducing electronic waste
Lowering environmental impact from new computer production
Creating meaningful employment opportunities for refugees and displaced people in Japan
Through this work, technology becomes more than just hardware — it becomes a tool for social impact and environmental sustainability.
